LuxShade I Plate is a flat steel plate for joining timber members in a straight line or reinforcing an existing connection. Its visible black finish suits pergolas, canopies and other timber frame projects.

Choose your size

Available as a 200 mm model and as 300 mm long plates in 100, 120 and 140 mm widths. Select the option that matches your project and check the dimensional image for the chosen plate. The 200 mm option is a different length from the other three options.

Applications and installation

Use for straight timber joints and additional reinforcement in pergolas, canopies and garden structures. Align the timber, position the plate and mark the holes before drilling. Choose the number, grade and length of bolts and screws for the actual timber and loading. Where required by the design, install a matching plate on the opposite face. A plate alone does not establish the load capacity of a beam splice.
