Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does a LuxShade pergola kit include?

The exact contents are listed on each product page. In Bulgaria, selected pergola products are complete kits with pre-cut KVH structural timber, metal connectors, applicable screws and assembly instructions. In other EU markets, pergola products generally contain the metal connector kit only, without timber.

Is timber included?

Only when the selected product or variant explicitly states that timber is included. For deliveries outside Bulgaria, timber is generally not included. Always check the product description and selected variant before payment.

Is a roof or shade covering included?

No, unless the selected product variant explicitly lists polycarbonate or another covering. Product images can show illustrative roofs, shade fabrics or accessories that are not part of the standard kit.

What steel thickness do LuxShade connectors use?

Thickness depends on the connector. Closed connectors are normally made from 2 mm steel, while OPEN connectors are normally 3 mm. Cross-beam plates and 45° brackets are 3 mm. The standard Veles base connector uses a 4 mm base plate and a 3 mm body. Veles W and specified wall connectors are 4 mm. G11010OPEN is made entirely from 4 mm steel. The product page specification takes priority for every model.

How are the metal parts protected?

LuxShade metal parts are protected with zinc primer and textured powder coating. They are not described as hot-dip galvanized unless a specific product explicitly says so. Damage to the coating should be repaired to maintain corrosion protection.

What timber sizes are compatible?

The required finished timber size is stated on each product page. Common systems use 100×100, 120×120 or 140×140 mm beams. OPEN products may accept different beam heights but are not universal in width. Measure the actual finished timber before ordering.

Can I assemble the structure myself?

The connector system avoids welding and complicated timber joints and can be assembled with common tools. At least two prepared people are recommended. Large or heavy configurations can require lifting equipment or professional installation.

What foundation and anchors are required?

The structure must be fixed to a stable base suitable for its size, use and local conditions. Anchor type and length depend on concrete, masonry, timber, soil, facade insulation and project loads. Do not fix a structural connector only into thermal insulation or an unverified surface.

Are the connectors rated for a specific wind or snow load?

Not universally. The connector thickness and geometry alone do not define the capacity of the complete structure. Timber sections, spans, foundations, anchors, roof system, site exposure and local wind and snow loads must be checked for the specific project.

Can LuxShade make a custom size?

Yes. Send the required width, length and height, beam dimensions, photos of the site, base and wall information, and the intended roof or covering. We will confirm the configuration and exact kit contents before production.

Do I need a building permit?

Requirements depend on the country, municipality, dimensions, anchoring, roof covering and whether the structure is attached to a building. Check with the local authority or a qualified professional before installation.

How long does production and delivery take?

Stock products are normally dispatched within 2 working days. Standard made-to-order products normally require 10–15 working days, while custom products can require up to 4 weeks. Courier transit starts after dispatch and depends on destination.

What are the return and warranty conditions?

Consumer purchases made online can generally be withdrawn from within 14 days after delivery, subject to the applicable conditions. Custom-made goods can be excluded from the right of withdrawal where permitted by law. See the Refund Policy and Warranty and Legal Guarantee for the full terms.
